Unique Concepts builder is an award winner!

Michael Strope, who has been one of our builders since 2005, received the C. Carl Woods Award for Craftsmanship presented by the Raleigh-Durham chapter of the Construction Specifications Institute.  Mike was nominated by Lynne Manning of Manning Design Group for his work on a reception desk for the Cape Fear Cancer Center in Fayetteville, NC.  The award was presented at CSI’s June meeting.

CSI was founded in 1948 to improve the quality of construction specifications.  It is a national organization with members representing all phases of the construction industry, including specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors, facility managers, product representatives, manufacturers, owners and others who are experts in building construction and the materials used therein.  Development of specifications best practices, promulgating standards/formats, professional education, and certification are cornerstones of the Institute.  The mission of CSI is to advance building information management and education of project teams to improve facility performance.
